2010 Ethics of 9-11: Artistic Responses

Every other year at Harmony School, High School teacher Paul Swanson teaches a course called Ethics of 9-11. This course seeks to understand what it means to be an ethical person, and does so through the lens of September 11th. The class investigates the events, causes, and consequences of 9-11, different philosophical and religious systems of ethics, and then concludes with each student presenting their own system of ethics to the class.

After 9-11, people around the world struggled to deal with their emotions. Many used art to express themselves. The first assignment of the Ethics of 9-11 class was to create an artistic response to 9-11. Below are three videos that students produced as their response.
